Operational planning: BNS – PET

Business Navigation System – for ERP Training (BNS – PET) assists managers, heads of controlling and IT company departments to specify the management information needs for implementation of or upgrading the operational system (“ERP”). Proper adjustment of the data and procession structures is an important precondition to create the effective data environment for company planning and functional/operational analyses.

Characteristics

The two-day workshop arranged by Inekon Systems for the client’s managers and specialists eliminates the risks which are usual during radical innovations of ERP system. Among the most frequent deficiencies may be mentioned failure to see to the information needs of the top management. ERP systems rather provide data serving to operational needs (such as accounting, invoicing, scheduling production, etc.). Development of statistic reports in them is usually time consuming, inflexible and often enables neither the section illustration, nor the cross illustration. To assembly and model complex
all-company plans is then usually not possible within ERP at all.

BNS – PET is to be conveniently considered if …

… it is necessary radically to innovate the operational transaction system – ERP;
… it is necessary clearly and systematically to specify the company management requirements, to be further implemented within ERP.

Structure

Managers and other client’s specialists will attend a two-day managed workshop. They will specify there together with Inekon Systems specialists the management information requirements in respect of data structures in separate operational areas (sales performance, output profitability and costs, financial performance, resources and potentials). The defined requirements will be then split into the part affecting future ERP implementation and the part to be set aside. Of all these results they will produce the document “Management requirements for operational data sources“, which specifies the required structure of recorded data and becomes the direct and binding specifications for establishment of a new ERP.
